Please read below for news from Robert Ure, the Active Schools Co-ordinator for the Liberton High School Cluster, about two new exciting opportunities for children:

  • Junior Bike Club at Liberton High School is returning from 4.30PM – 5.30PM for children in Primary 3 to Primary 7.

It will be held on the 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th of November, and the 5th of December, and costs £60 for the 5 week block.

Sessions will be taken by Trevor Bryant who has years of cycling experience and loves giving children the opportunity to get active on their bikes. Children are guaranteed the best possible sessions to enjoy cycling and learn some new skills.

Please note that this is not a learn to cycle club, and children must bring their own bike and helmet.

Active Schools Event Success

IMG_1017

Congratulations to the pupils in P6a and P6b who took part in the Active Schools Sports @ the Hub event at Forrester High School this week. Over 1200 children from across Edinburgh participated in learning skills for various sports, and then taking part in competitions to find the winning schools. Liberton Primary took part in the cricket and judo events, and both teams did fantastically well – with the Judo team coming first and bringing the trophy back to school!
