Last term, we began a whole school project – Building Resilience.
Resilience is a key factor in protecting and promoting good mental health. This whole school programme aims to look at ten different things that can help support children to develop resilience.
This term, we will be learning our first skill – Keep Connected. We are learning about the importance of having caring relationships. We will be learning about the special people in our lives. These people are our ‘Back Up Team’. We will be learning:
- We all need good relationships in our lives
- Relationships are important for our health and wellbeing
- It takes effort to get along with others
Parents and carers will soon receive an information sheet and a homework task. This will help you to be able to talk about resilience at home, and share your own experiences with your children.
