The aim of the breakfast club is to increase the number of children eating a healthy breakfast, which will help them to engage in learning and improve their general health. The club also promotes the social aspects of eating together by encouraging social skills, manners and good citizenship. This is delivered in a safe, nurturing and caring environment by appropriately trained staff.
The club runs from 8am to 8.50am Monday to Friday. P3 – P7 pupils then join their class in the playground to enter the school with their classmates, and the P1 – P2 pupils are taken to their classrooms by Breakfast Club staff.
