End of Term Newsletter 28th June 2024

As we finish another session at Liberton Primary I want to thank everyone in our school community for all their work and support over the year.

  • Thank you to our pupils who have worked extremely hard on their learning, showed great kindness to each other and inspired our whole school community.
  • Thank you to our staff team who have worked together brilliantly to provide great learning for our children, to care for them and to help them develop as the great people they are.
  • Thank you to our parents, carers and families for supporting us every step of the way.

I wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable summer and we look forward to seeing all our pupils for the beginning of next session on Wednesday 14th August.

Farewells

  • Today we say good luck to our fabulous P7 year group as they move on to high school.  They have been a pleasure to have in our school and we wish them the very best for the future.
  • At our assembly today we also say farewell and send our best wishes to the pupils leaving us from other year groups.
  • From our staff team we are grateful for the fabulous work from Mrs Kirsty Redpath, Mrs Sue Cook and Mrs Cathy Noble who are moving on to new posts.  We have also said farewell to Mrs Heather Falconer, who has been a wonderful part of our nursery team for 20 years.  Heather sent us this message to share with the school community:  The last 20 years have been full of fun and laughter.  It never felt like a job to me because you and your children made me feel like family.  Thank you for being amazing.   We also say farewell to Mrs Barbara Cil from our Breakfast Club and Mrs Jessie Cheng from our PSA team.

Dates for next session

We will be issuing a full set of dates for next session in August, however the first date to put in your diary will be our Curriculum Evening/Meet the Teacher event which will be held in school on Wednesday 4th September at 6.30pm.  We look forward to seeing you then.

Transition Photobooks

On our website we have posted transition photobooks for all our classes.  These photobooks contain information for pupils including photos of key staff and the classroom as well as details of where children line up in the morning.

School Library Donation

Thank you to our P7 parents who donated the remainder of the end of term fundraising to new books for our school library.  A lovely tribute to our P7s.
